The 2024-25 school year was another exceptional one for Delta Kappa Epsilon’s Beta Delta chapter. For starters, it was the first year in their brand new chapter house. The new house fostered even deeper relations among the brothers and strengthened the chapter’s cohesive bond, making their countless social, service, and philanthropy events that much more gratifying. The chapter also recruited a spectacular group of admirable freshmen this past year that will grow and lead the chapter through its future for years to come.
With their first official chapter house, they were able to host new, diverse social events that were previously not possible. The brothers thoroughly enjoyed decorating the house and dressing up for several of our themed events, especially our Hawaiian-themed tiki party last fall. The Dekes of UGA also had fun at various date nights, highlighted by their formal down in Savannah, Georgia back in January.
Beta Delta proudly continued its longstanding tradition of serving the community, regularly aiding local organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Salvation Army. They were also able to adopt the street near their new house, which they constantly tend to by picking up trash along the road to protect the environment. On top of that, the chapter hosted its two annual philanthropy events, Gator Roast and Dunk a Deke, which helped them raise thousands of dollars for charities such as Family Promise and the Backpack Project.
All in all, the chapter made huge strides in just about every category this year. With a new chapter house, their brotherhood reached an all-time high, which made them stronger gentlemen, brighter scholars, and even jollier good fellows in all that they do. They aim to utilize this growth and expansion to catapult them into a promising, exciting future.
