The Beta Delta Chapter kicked off the new year with a bang, following the Georgia Bulldogs’ first National Championship victory since 1980. With a new year comes new leadership, with fresh perspectives and ideas for the fraternity. The new executive board of Beta Delta led by President Dilyn Zertuche, supported by a new Cabinet led by Vice President Pierce Purmort, hopes to grow the name and reputation of Deke by working hard for the chapter as well as the Athens community.

Beta Delta is proud to have welcomed seven new members in the chapter’s Zeta class, led by New Member Educator Grayson Koerner. Following rush week the chapter hosted a successful Bid Day Dinner with Delta Gamma, as well as having its first social with the Sigma Delta Tau sorority. The chapter continues to build relations with organizations around Athens like Books for Keeps, who hosted another event for brothers to help children in need of books.

Looking forward, the first ever Formal for the Beta Delta Chapter will take place in Gatlinburg, Tennessee this April. Other big plans include Rent-A-DKE, the first signature philanthropy event spearheaded by new Philanthropy Chair Nicholas Folino, as well as Alumni Weekend, April 1-3. The chapter continues to support the community by hosting regular community service events, and collaborations with more organizations in the Athens area.
